Terms of Use

1.1 The Website is an informational website. It describes our laboratory, tests, scans, health checkup packages, home sample collection, and foreign medical examination services, and provides our contact details.

1.2 The Website does not provide online booking, online payment, user accounts, or e-commerce of any kind. Nothing on the Website constitutes an offer capable of acceptance online. Browsing the Website, or tapping a "Call" or "WhatsApp" button, does not by itself create any booking, appointment, or contract.

1.3 Bookings are made only by telephone (+91 98405 90665 / 044 2654 0111), WhatsApp (+91 98405 90665), or in person at our centre, and a booking is confirmed only when our staff confirms it to you.

2.1 The Services are available to persons of all ages; however, bookings and consents for patients below 18 years of age must be made by a parent or legal guardian, and such patients must be accompanied by a parent or guardian where required.

2.2 By booking a Service, you represent that the information you provide (including identity, contact details, and medical information) is true, accurate, and complete.

3.1 Mano Lab is an NABL-accredited (ISO 15189, Certificate NABLM0826TN10396) diagnostic laboratory. We perform laboratory tests, imaging, and related diagnostic examinations and issue reports of the findings.

3.3 Content on the Website (including descriptions of tests, packages, health information, and preparation instructions) is provided for general information only and does not constitute medical advice. Always follow the instructions of your treating doctor.

3.4 We do not recommend or promote any particular treatment, medicine, doctor, or hospital.

4.1 Prices displayed on the Website for health checkup packages are indicative and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Prices of individual tests are not displayed on the Website; they will be informed to you on request by phone or WhatsApp. All prices are subject to confirmation by our staff at the time of booking and may be revised from time to time without prior notice.

4.2 In the event of any difference between a price displayed on the Website and the price confirmed at the time of booking, the price confirmed at booking shall apply.

4.3 Payment for Services is due at the time of sample collection or service delivery, at our centre or to our authorised phlebotomist during a home visit, by cash, card, or UPI as available. We do not collect payments through the Website.

4.4 You may cancel or reschedule a booking by informing us on phone or WhatsApp before the scheduled time of sample collection or appointment. Amounts paid for Services that have not yet commenced (no sample collected, no examination begun) will be refunded in full. Once a sample has been collected or an examination has begun, the Service is deemed to have commenced and amounts paid are not refundable, except where the Service could not be completed for reasons attributable solely to us, in which case we will, at your option, repeat the Service at no extra cost or refund the amount paid for the incomplete portion.

To enable accurate results, you agree to:

1. 1Provide accurate identity, age, contact, and address details at booking;
2. 2Disclose relevant information when asked - including current medications, recent procedures, known infections, and (for X-ray and certain other examinations) pregnancy or the possibility of pregnancy;
3. 3Follow the preparation instructions communicated to you (for example, fasting duration, full bladder for certain ultrasound scans, timing of samples);
4. 4Provide a correct WhatsApp number for report delivery, and inform us at booking if you do not wish to receive reports on WhatsApp;
5. 5Carry your doctor's prescription/referral where applicable, and valid documents for foreign medical examinations.

We are not responsible for results affected by non-disclosure of relevant information or non-compliance with preparation instructions; in such cases, a repeat test, if requested, will be chargeable.

6.1 Samples are collected, labelled, transported, and processed in accordance with our NABL/ISO 15189 quality procedures.

6.2 In certain circumstances, a sample may be unsuitable for testing (for example, insufficient quantity, haemolysed or clotted sample, incorrect container, or labelling discrepancy). In such cases we will inform you and collect a fresh sample at no additional collection charge.

6.3 If you or your treating doctor questions a result, you may request a repeat of the test. Where the original sample is still available and stable, we will repeat the test on the same sample free of charge within 7 days of report delivery. Where a fresh sample is required, the repeat test will be performed in accordance with our standard repeat-testing policy as communicated to you.

7.1 Report turnaround times stated on the Website (such as "same-day" or "12 hours") are indicative and apply to routine tests under normal operating conditions. Actual turnaround may vary due to test complexity, sample condition, repeat or confirmatory testing, equipment maintenance, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will inform you of any significant delay.

7.2 Reports are delivered on WhatsApp to the number provided at booking, by email on request, or as a printed copy at our centre. Reports of minor patients are delivered to the parent or guardian.

7.3 Every report is validated and signed by a qualified pathologist or relevant specialist before release. Reports are confidential and are released only to you, your authorised representative, or your referring doctor, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7.4 You are responsible for collecting or downloading your report and for keeping your own copy. We retain reports for the period stated in our Privacy Policy, after which they may no longer be available.

8.1 Home sample collection is available across Chennai and is free of charge. For locations on the far outskirts of the city, availability and any additional charge will be confirmed at the time of booking.

8.2 Home collection visit times are scheduled windows and, while we strive for punctuality, exact arrival times may vary due to traffic or operational reasons.

8.3 Our phlebotomists carry identification and use sealed, single-use collection kits. Please verify the identification of the phlebotomist before sample collection. Tests requiring on-site equipment (such as X-ray, ultrasound, ECHO, or TMT) cannot be performed at home and require a visit to our centre.

9.1 We conduct medical fitness examinations for overseas employment and issue fitness certificates from our NABL-accredited laboratory. The examination panel depends on the destination country and the requirements of the employer or embassy, and will be confirmed at the time of booking.

9.2 A fitness certificate reflects the medical findings as on the date of examination only. It is not a guarantee of future health.

9.5 Fees paid for a foreign medical examination are for the conduct of the examination and issue of the certificate, and are payable irrespective of whether the result is "Fit" or "Unfit", and irrespective of the outcome of any visa or employment application.

All content on the Website - including text, graphics, logos, the "MANO LAB" name and mark, page design, and layout - is the property of Mano Lab & Maruthi Scan Centre Private Limited or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print Website content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, or distribute any content, or use our name, logo, or certificate details, without our prior written consent.

You agree not to: (a) use the Website for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its server, or connected systems; (c) introduce viruses or other harmful code; (d) scrape, copy, or mirror the Website or its content by automated means; or (e) misrepresent any affiliation with Mano Lab.

The Website contains links to third-party websites and platforms (such as Google Maps, WhatsApp, and the NABL verification portal). These are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites or platforms, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT AT ALL TIMES. WHILE WE PERFORM ALL TESTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH NABL/ISO 15189 QUALITY STANDARDS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT NO DIAGNOSTIC TEST IS ABSOLUTELY ACCURATE, AND THAT EVERY DIAGNOSTIC METHOD HAS INHERENT SCIENTIFIC LIMITATIONS, INCLUDING THE POSSIBILITY OF FALSE-POSITIVE OR FALSE-NEGATIVE RESULTS, WHICH EXIST IN ALL LABORATORIES.

15.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF MANO LAB, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONSULTANTS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY SERVICE, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THAT SERVICE.

15.2 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS - INCLUDING LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT, VISA REJECTION, TRAVEL COSTS, LOSS OF INCOME, OR DECISIONS TAKEN WITHOUT CONSULTING A QUALIFIED MEDICAL PRACTITIONER.

15.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mano Lab, its directors, and employees from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you; or (c) your misuse of the Website or any report issued to you (including alteration or forgery of a report).

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural calamities, fire, flood, epidemics, strikes, power or network failures, acts of government, or equipment breakdown despite reasonable maintenance.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and will apply to use of the Website and to bookings made after publication. Please review this page periodically.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any right.

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Website or the Services, shall be governed by the laws of India and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
